Private, visible to Tonks, Order members, friends of the Potters
It's been twenty-two years.
It's amazing to think that it's been that long. If James and Lily were around now, I imagine they'd be rather surprised and delighted to see where I've ended up. If Sirius were around, I imagine I'd endure a great deal of teasing, too.
In all our revelry today, it's still important to take a moment to remember not only James and Lily, but Harry too. Hard to imagine what our world would be without their sacrifices.

It's October. Can you believe it? October's far from my favorite month but I do like the change of seasons. The beech tree in the yard is already turning orange and yellow. Gabe is well aware of the month and has already presented me with a list of potential costumes. It's nice to have him as a distraction on Halloween, even all these years later.
In addition to costumes, he presented me with a list of reasons why we should allow him to get a puppy. I told him that normal dogs don't tend to like his Da very much but he's persistent(like his mother) and says he'll keep it in his room. I think a pygmy puff or something might be more my speed... Fred and George, do you have any more in stock? Is it possible to transfigure them to look more like a dog? Ha!
Tonks- when you're home from work, let's talk about this pet situation. Am I a bad parent if I really don't want anything furry in our house? (except for me, love.)

Haven't written in this thing in ages...sorry all! It's been a busy few months, what with Gabe starting some basic flying lessons at the local community center and I've been trying to pick up some extra tutoring work when he's out and about. Then this past week I've been ill and the moon's tomorrow, so I'm holed up at home on the sofa with Gabe at my feet (occupied with a coloring book, and I'm hoping he doesn't turn the markers to draw on my trousers).
Anyway, congrats are in order to Sam and Ginny, of course! Very happy for you two.
And Fleur, how's the new job going? I do miss teaching at Hogwarts and I hope you're enjoying it as much as I did!

He would have been 23 today. I was making tea this morning and saw the calendar and there was the day, practically jumping out at me. I remember the day he was born. I remember the day he was born, and the day he died, and the few in between that I spent with him. Seems like it was such a short time ago that everything changed.

You know, I've never been one for public confessions and the like, but I do adore these new journals. Ta, Fred and George! It'll be nice to have a way to chat with long lost mates (and even those of you I see regularly.
All's well here. Gabriel's currently sporting blue hair (I'm slightly jealous, as mine will surely be all grey soon and then subsequently will fall out. The joys of getting older.) He's getting taller everyday and I should soon start being concerned with him talking to the little girls down at the local park if he ever manages to get his morphs under control and is able to go there more frequently. Thankfully, we've got Charlie and Victoire for him to play with. Speaking of which, Bill and Fleur and Verity and Fred, I think we need a get-together soon.
